Shima is one of the Tokyo's most popular steakhouses with people from all over the world. It is located in the basement of an office building and there is no sign outside. Although it is a hidden restaurant, many people come to experience their wagyu (Japanese beef) steaks.
They have some private rooms and table seats for a large group of people. They also have 8 counter seats where you can enjoy watching the wagyu being cut off and grilled in front of your eyes.

10 minutes walk from the exit A4 or A5 of Ryogoku station on the Toei Oedo line.
It is on the basement of a cafe called "Tully's Coffee".
They have two different levels of wagyu. Even the lower rank of their beef is actually considered as a high-class wagyu and of course tastes amazing. You can choose between sirloin or fillet steak.
A 100g portion of sirloin is 3400 yen or 5000 yen, which are reasonable compared to other steakhouses. They are cooked over charcoal grill perfectly by the chefs.
They are very tender, juicy, fatty, and heavenly great. The steak will melt in your mouth! And the flavor is delicious!
Takeaway steak sandwiches
One best part of Shima is the takeaway steak sandwiches you can get if you have ordered steak. These sandwiches are so outrageously delicious that you won't forget them. Make sure you can't order only steak sandwiches.
They also have other menu than steaks. The seafood salad is made with the the freshest seafood which has a fine texture and flavor.
Crab meat croquette is another popular dish. It is very rich and creamy on the inside and crispy on the outside.
Drinking a glass of wine with the wagyu is the best. They also have beer, sake, whiskey, and more options.
