@home cafe

@home cafe is another interesting maid cafe in Akihabara. The maids are incredibly cute and super friendly. When you get there you are met at the door and greeted by one of the maids. One of the maids will ring a bell and the maids great you in Japanese saying, "welcome home my master". Talk about a unique experience! Located a a few minutes from Akihabara station.

They have a few other things on the menu, including cute curries, and lattes with anime drawings.

Mia Cafe

"Mia" supposedly stands for "Maid in Angels", though I haven't confirmed this with the staff at the store. This maid cafe is another one of the popular places for tourists and locals alike in the Akihabara area. Just a short 5-minute walk from the JR Akihabara station. I'd budget for around 1500-2000 yen, you'll have a good time with that ;)
Put aside all the "cutesy-wootsy-ness" and you're left with a fairly decent menu with some simple dishes that these girls can whip up and serve to their "masters" from open til close. Oh, and yes, they have the obligatory "omurice with ketchup message" too.

Cure Maid Cafe

If you're looking for a fun experience with wonderful service and a classy atmosphere, Cure could be the pick. The food and drinks are slightly overpriced compared to other places, but Cure does claim to be the first maid cafe in Akihabara, if not all of Japan. The style here is old Victorian and you'll notice it as soon as you walk in. It's interesting, to say the least!
A lot of people say good things about the large array of tea and desserts at Cure. They even have seasonal and weekly specials to keep regulars interested and coming back. Located in Akihabara a short walk from the JR station.

"Fancy a cuppa tea there luv?"

Honey Honey

If you want to save yourself on the table charge that most places charge you when visiting, Honey Honey is definitely an option. They have a large menu and are considered one of the more reasonable places to eat if you're dead set wanting to get some chow at a maid cafe (otherwise you might find something better at the convenience store). That being said, it is about the experience so if you only ever plan on trying this out once it might be worth splashing out a few extra yen to get the "real" maid cafe experience.
Located in Akihabara and a 7-minute walk from the JR station. It's a bit further than others in town but still worth the trip. Like the name suggests their menu, you guessed it, serves a lot of dishes which incorporate honey. I'd definitely recommend this place to any sweet tooth!

Curious yet!? Make Visiting a Maid Cafe in Akihabara part of your trip!

If you've never been to a maid cafe before you're in for an interesting adventure. All places feature girls (and sometimes boys) dressed in outfits, with some putting on karaoke dance shows for their customers throughout the day. Why not make a maid cafe visit a part of your next trip.
