Beef Cutlets from Kyoto, now in Tokyo!

牛カツ "Gyukatsu", delicious deep-fried cutlets of Japanese beef, originally from a specialised restaurant in Kyoto, can now be eaten in Tokyo! As of June 12th, if you head to Katsugyu in Takadonababa, you will also be able to enjoy this delicious cuisine from Kyoto.

Gyukatsu 牛カツ

Gyukatsu is delicious deep fried cutlets of beef. And is a very popular dish in Japan!

The beef used is rare and is the most flavourful and tender part of the roast. Katsugyu is proud to serve their signature dish, beef that was deep fried for 60 seconds.
You can try it with soy sauce and wasabi, with pepper or even with a half-cooked egg on top. No matter how you eat, these beef cutlets are delicious.

The Second Signature Dish

On the new menu at Kyoto Katsugyu, the beef tare (soy sauce based sauce) bowl. The beef was fried and then soaked in a beautifully sweet and salty sauce, and then topped over rice. The rice and beef go delightfully well together. You can also try a few variations, "pork tare bowl" or "vegetable tare bowl"

The Meat Set Menu:

Using famous tasty pork from Hokkaido, the meat is cut in thick 3 cm pieces. The meat is juicy in the inside and crispy on the outside. You should first try eating the meat as is to enjoy the characteristic taste, then you can enjoy it with lemon or Kyotokatsu’s sauce.

This pork has a sweet and salty taste and is cooked in garlic. Of course, it goes well with rice and beer!

The Steak Bowl

The exterior was grilled, but the interior is medium rare, and it goes perfectly well with the sweet tare and the rice. You should definitely try this delicious beef bowl. Each bite will make you want more.
