6 Recommended Chocolate Stores in Tokyo!

Everyone loves chocolate, right? So we made a list of places where you can buy chocolates in Japan! Why not get some as a souvenir for your family and friends?

Tokyo Chocolate

This place offers chocolates that you can only eat in Tokyo. Japan themed chocolate is very rare and popular, and they also use Japanese fruits and sake as ingredients. Their chocolate is very colorful, and it is such a perfect gift! Less than a minute walk from Shinjuku Sanchome station.

Their box of Tokyo Chocolate is 12 pieces for ¥1,296, 20 pieces for ¥2,160, 30 pieces for ¥3,240, and 40 pieces for ¥4,320.
Their premium selection box (4 pieces) for ¥1,728. Flavors are: No.1 Kaki (persimmon), No.2 Uji matcha and mitarashi (sweet soy sauce), No.3 Houjicha praline (tea), No.4 Kabosu (a type of citrus).

La Maison du Chocolat

This is one of the luxurious chocolates in Tokyo. They have a cafe space where you can eat their chocolate desserts too. It could be a little expensive, but the price shouldn't matter because it is definitely worth it, and it is a top-notch chocolate. Around a few minute walk from Ginza station.

Décadence du Chocolat

Located in Ginza, this chocolate specialized store offers many different kind of chocolates. They offer exclusive couverture with liquor, nuts and dried fruits. They are planning to open a cafe space soon. Just a 2 minute walk from Ginza station.

Chocolat BEL AMER

Their chocolate also uses ingredients that are mostly only available in Japan. They appreciate four seasons in Japan, and their chocolate is very photogenic and artsy with Japanese themed drawings on it. Their first store is in Kyoto, but you can find their chocolate in department stores in Tokyo. For the one in Shinjuku Isetan, it is around a 3 minute walk from Shinjuku Sanchome station.

Théobroma

Around a 5 minute walk from Yoyogi Park station, this place has delicious cakes and chocolate desserts! They also have macaroons, as well as caviar looking chocolate. And they also have macaroon gelato! It's a must try dessert! People generally spend ¥1,000~2,000.

CHOCOLATIER INAMURA SHOZO

This place not only offer elegant chocolates but also delicious desserts such as cakes! They have a cafe space where you can eat their cakes and have a cup of coffee or tea. Just a 2 minute walk from Nippori station. People generally spend ¥1,000~2,000 here.
