Rolling in Japan: "ROLL ICE CREAM FACTORY" Has Opened in Tokyo!!!

The rolled ice cream originated in Thailand is what everyone is going crazy for. You probably have seen pictures or videos on Instagram or other social media. In New York, it has been very popular and people often make a long line for this new type of ice cream. This summer, it has finally been launched for the first time in Japan at "ROLL ICE CREAM FACTORY" in Harajuku, Tokyo, so we went to give it a try!

How to order

All you need is
1. select your ice cream flavor,
2. select one ingredient to mix in,
3. choose two toppings, and
4. choose the sauce

They have 20 kinds of ingredients to mix in with your ice cream such as fruits and cookies, and also over 40 kinds of toppings. You can build your own rolled ice cream!

They will make the ice cream in front of your eyes. The base of the ice cream is poured on an extremely cold (-10°C) steel surface and spatulas are used to chop your ingredients into the base.
