Cheap Drinks And Food at Izakaya Uotami

Izakaya (Japanese style bar) is a type of casual drinking place where you relax and enjoy your drinks, food, and conversations with your friends, family, or significant other. The best izakaya to experience the real Japanese nightlife would be Uotami, the biggest and popular chain that is located in all across Japan including Tokyo (Shibuya, Ginza, Shinjuku...and more!). They also offer the "nomihodai" (all-you-can-drink) you should check out.

Feel free to follow favy!

Uotami (魚民)

Some of you probably know that the Japanese loves drinking out after working or studying at colleges. That's why there are a lot of izakaya especially around stations.

Uotami is one of chain izakaya that is popular with all groups of people from young to old. They have over 700 locations all across Japan, offering a large selection of cheap drinks and food with comfortable yet lively atmosphere.

Most of Uotami stores have such cozy private rooms as well as counter and table seats. The decorations are also great.

It's easy to find a large capacity at Uotami because the Japanese often get together and drink at izakaya. There are usually private rooms for big groups which is very relaxing.

Some stores even have karaoke rooms!

Menu

Their menu is extensive, and everythig is reasonably priced. The most common drink at izakaya in Japan is beer (478 yen). They also have wine, whisky, sake, and a variety of cocktails that all around 400-500 yen!

They serve a great variety of food as well, including Japanese traditional food like sushi (5 for 698 yen) and yakitori (5 for 778 yen). It would be a great opportunity to try many Japanese food! Usually the food will be shared on the table just like tapas.

This is my favorite, "omu-soda". This is yakisoba (Japanese stir fried noodles seasoned with sweet and savory sauce) wrapped in eggs.

Amazing Nomihodai (All-you-can-drink) Plan

If you love drinking, don't miss the "nokihodai plan", all-you-can-drink. You can drink as much as you want for 2 hours once you pay only around 1000-1500 yen (varies in each shop). The menu is surprisingly extensive too. You can have beer, whisky, wine, cocktails... without worrying about the bill!

Have a wonderful night experience at Uotami

You must visit the most famous izakaya Uotami in Japan! You can relax and enjoy reasonable and delicious drinks and food as the locals do!
