CICADA: A Great Escape A Mediterranean Restaurant In Tokyo!

At CICADA, you can enjoy a wide range of authentic Mediterranean cuisines from Moroccan to Portuguese to Italian. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great for families and friends, as well as corporate events.

CICADA's first restaurant was established in Minami-Azabu in 1993. It was then relocated to the current venue near the Omotesando Station in 2012. It is housed in a 50-year old mansion with a large garden and swimming pool built by a famous Japanese architect, Yoshinobu Ashihara.

Elegant counters & a wine bar
The resort-like restaurant gives out a colonial European ambiance rooted in local communities. The choice of furniture and interior will make you feel as if you are on holiday near the Mediterranean Ocean.

Menu

CICADA's cuisines consist of dishes representative of the cuisine of the Mediterranean countries. You'll find on the menu everything from hummus and Lebanese mezze to tagines (beef, lamb or fish) from Morocco, and other Mediterranean delicacies. CICADA also has a vegetarian menu. Also, do not worry about not being able to finish the meal yourself as the dishes are all shareable.

Lunch

A lunch course is available which consists of a tapas or mezze, a seafood or meat dish or the weekly lunch, a drink, and a dessert or cheese. This lunch course is 3,800 yen per person. Pan-roasted scallops with farro and maitake risotto are popular entrees. Other lunch options cost about 2,000 yen per person.

Dinner

Dinner has an additional menu that is different from lunch. You can order ham and salumi, cheese plates, and more varieties of entrees. Spicy Harissa marinated and roasted half chicken are popular entrees. They cost 2,400 yen.

Desserts & Drinks

CICADA offers mouth-watering desserts, cheese, and drinks after meals that are between 500-950 yen. Also, there is a bar that serves a wide range of drinks from wine to limoncello to cognac.

CICADA's family style menu for parties has 3 courses; 4,000 yen/person, 5,000 yen/person, and 6,000 yen/person. A separate course is available for 7,000 yen. Please make the reservation before hand.

Access & Info

CICADA is a barrier free restaurant and non-smoking establishment. But, there is a smoking room available in the restaurant. If you have children under 6 years old, the establishment will require that you dine in a private room. (Room Charge:​ Weekday Lunch ​​¥3,000​,​ Weekend Lunch ​¥​5,000​,​ Dinner ​¥​10,000​)​. It is advisable to make a reservation to avoid waiting and have a pleasant experience with CICADA.
