Shinjuku is a bustling part of Tokyo with so many options when it comes to eating and drinking. It's also a hot spot for the trendy cat cafes. Cafes where you can enjoy some hot or cold drinks in the company of friendly and lazy cats. It's an experience worth trying for all you cat lovers. Here are four popular cat cafes in Shinjuku.

1. Cat Cafe Calico

Calico is a popular cat cafe located in Kabukicho, at a 5-minute walk from the JR Shinjuku Station (East Exit). For the cafe menu, hot and cold drinks, cakes, and pasta are available. 50 cats are waiting for you!

2. Cafe Arles

This place is awesome because it is something of a cross between a traditional Showa era Japanese cafe (these are often called "kissaten") and a cat cafe. The interior of the cafe has a quaint atmosphere. The owner's cat with a bow tie will welcome you. Omu rice (Chicken rice with omelet) is a popular choice if you're hungry!

3. Cat Cafe Nyankoto

The entrance fee is 800 yen an hour (extra time charge 200 yen/ 15 min). The three-hour package costs 2000 yen, and cat feeding is 100 yen. There is a free drink system.

4. Die Katz

This cafe serves British tea. Cute cats will welcome you. The decor is all about cats with many pictures of the cute feline covering the walls and lots of cat decorations are lined up at the entrance too.
