Tokyo Sushi Restaurant "Sushi Koraku Bekkan" is a Local's Secret!

I couldn't believe what I had stumbled upon when I went here for the first time! Sushi Koraku Bekkan is a Tokyo local's secret! A charming little restaurant that serves up delectable sushi and sashimi in business district Kojimachi.

Feel free to follow favy!

Top quality sushi without the price tag

Sushi Koraku Bekkan is a must if you're staying in the Yotsuya or Kojimachi area in Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward. Located a short walk from Kojimachi station, this place has a solid reputation among the office workers crowd at lunch time. The reason. They have a lunch special of a quality I've never seen before!
The lunch special at Sushi Koraku Bekkan is a set dish. There is no menu. You just walk in, get seated, and are served a big bowl of seafood sashimi, miso soup, and green tea. The price?

1000 yen!

The bowl is jam-packed with over 10 different kinds of seafood and toppings; and the menu changes daily depending what is most fresh. The chefs are flat out busy behind the counter creating these non-stop!

The price and quality combined is the number reason you should go out of your way to make a trip here for lunch!
Dinner gets a lot more expensive and you could expect to pay anything between 5000 to 15000 yen per person! You can understand why the place is so popular for lunch eh!
I went here with a few colleagues... at 11:30am. Yes, 11:30am. Why? I was told we'd be lining up for a long time anytime after that!

They were right too. As we were leaving, the line went out the door and all the way to the road, so I can definitely thank my colleagues and trust that local knowledge!

It's a very simple restaurant but with a warm Japanese feel to it. They have some counter seating and number of Japanese style table seating. When you sit at the counter for dinner your sushi gets served straight on the marble bench!
