Where To Have Lunch Around Ginza, Tokyo!

Ginza is a really nice place to spend the day, there are tons of cafes and fancy restaurants, as well as it being an awesome shopping district. But with such an important concentration of restos, it can get a little overwhelming. So you can leave it up to us and check out our suggestions on where to have a nice lunch in Ginza!

Feel free to follow favy!

Ippudo

Ippudo is a ramen resto in Ginza and is a great value for your money. If you're in Ginza and you're looking for a place to have quick, cheap and delicious food, this is the place to go! Ippudo has not only chains all over Japan, but abroad as well. They even have branches in the US, France, and the UK! The staff is super friendly and they have English menus. If you're looking for a no fuss lunch, this is it!

Access

It's only about a 2-minute walk from Ginza station.

Umegaoka Sushino Midori Ginza

Midori has a well-earned reputation as one of the best sushi chains in Japan because its chefs are true sushi experts! You can see them at work while you enjoy your meal. Great "quality for cost" balance. You can eat sushi at a reasonable price in this sushi restaurant. Lunch course starts at 1,600 JPY. They serve great quality sushi for cheap, so it's extremely popular (i.e. be prepared for a line-up).

This resto is surrounded by different stations: Shimbashi, Uchisaiwaicho, Hibiya, Yurakucho, Higashi-Ginza station, but the closest one might be Ginza station.

Kuroson

What's wonderful about lunch in Tokyo is that although some restos are really pricey at night, they can be really affordable at lunch time and give you a great sample of their deliciousness. This resto is one of them, it's a really well-rated resto, but you can go in for lunch and have something delish for 1,000 yen!!! You should try their avocado and sashimi bowl.

Access

This resto is about 2 minutes by foot from Ginza station, you should take the B9 exit.

Sushi Ichi

Sushi Ichi is quite a deal for lunch, as it is quite pricey for dinner (between 15,000-30,000 yen), BUT lunch starts at 4,000 yen! So if you're looking for delicious sushi, but aren't ready to splurge for the dinner course, give the lunch course a try! You won't regret it!!

It's about a 3-minute walk from Ginza station, or about a minute from Ginza-itchome station. The restaurant is very close to Chanel Ginza.

Kyubey Main Restaurant

Kyubey is said one of the top restaurants in the world, and quite possibly one of the best sushi restaurants in Japan. If you want to know what real, top quality sushi taste like while you're in Japan, you have to try Kyubey!

Kyubey's main restaurant is in Ginza, but it has an annex in Ginza as well, and some branches at different hotels around the city. (Please look at the link below for other locations).

The main branch opened in 1935 and as it is currently their anniversay, as a token of thank you to the patrons, they are taking off 2,000 yen on all the meal options.
This restaurant is highly popular so it is always packed with a long line outside so you better book in advance! For lunch, you can get a course between 4,000-23,000 yen.

Kyubei is a 7-minute walk from Ginza or Higashi-Ginza Station.
