Kyushu Jangara : Rich Tonkotsu Ramen With A Lot of Toppings

Wondering where to eat the best ramen? If you are a tonkotsu (creamy pork broth) ramen lover, you should definitely try Kyusyu Jangara! They are located in several places in Tokyo, serving a variety of cheap and delicious tonkotsu ramen.

Feel free to follow favy!

Kyushu Jangara (九州じゃんがら)

Kyusyu Jangara is a well-known ramen chain in Tokyo. They have the first shop in Akihabara and 7 more shops in Tokyo, all of them are very easy to access.
Kyusyu refers to the southern island of Japan. Kyushu's biggest city Hakata, is famous for "Hakata ramen", which consists of rich "tonkotsu" (pork broth) soup and thin noodles. This ramen shop specializes in this Hakata ramen so people can enjoy it in Tokyo too.
They offer a lively atmosphere and you can enjoy watching your ramen being made. The staff is nice and friendly, and they also have an English menu.

They have a variety of ramen and toppings. You simply need to select the type of ramen and then, choose the toppings.
Kyusyu Jangara (630 yen~) is the most popular menu. The thick soup is made from pork bone and vegetables that have simmered for a long time. This makes it rich and creamy, without the distinct smell of the pork broth. The price varies depending on the toppings.
If you like spicy food, go for the ramen called Karabon (780 yen~). Many kinds of spices are added to their rich tonkotsu soup. It is not just spicy but flavorful.
They offer vegan option too. The soup is based of soy sauce and vegetable broth.
Their regular ramen has mushrooms, bamboo shoots, chopped green onions and roast pork on the top. You can add big cubes of pork, mentaiko (cod roe), and a soft-boiled egg.

Kyusyu Jangara is a highly recommended place to enjoy the taste of local popular ramen in Tokyo. Their rich delicate soup goes well with the noodles and toppings, and you will get addicted to the ramen.
I love traveling and eating. My favorites are everything matcha and cheesecakes.
