Enmei Cafe
This cafe is located in Sendagi, in an area that was nicknamed "Yanesen" since it is an acronym for Yanaka, Nezu and Sendagi. These neighborhoods are in "shitamachi", a working class neighborhood which preserved its traditional Japanese style, while harmoniously incorporating a modern flavor. This cafe is the embodiment of this harmonious mix.

Menu
They don't have a very elaborate menu, but what they have is delicious. Moreover, it's really lovely that they explain where and who grew the ingredients. In a fast food era, it's comforting to go to a cafe where they play relaxing music and gently reminds you to live in the "now".

They have two types of curry: a dry one and a wet one. Lunch is really affordable, for 1,100 yen you get a curry and a drink (coffee, juice, tea, etc.). The dry curry is made from organic root vegetables, shiitake mushrooms, and chicken. The other one is a vegetable curry. It's really delicious.
Drink Menu
This cafe is made in collaboration with Medical Herbman Cafe Project and their teas are supposed to be really good for you. You can ask the super kind staff to recommend a tea that's good for your ailment.
Dessert Menu
They have 3 types of dessert: ginger ice cream, coffee jelly and soy milk "amazake" (sweet sake). All these ice creams are quite traditional menu items that you would find at an old-style Japanese cafe, so it's a sweet attempt at embracing the neighborhood's history.
