Shinjuku Kappo Nakajima is a Michelin-starred restaurant which offers innovative traditional Japanese cuisine.
It is a few minutes from Shinjuku station and has a relaxed atmosphere, despite serving carefully prepared dishes.
It is a great place to entertain guests.

They serve beautiful Japanese cuisine with a modern twist using seasonal vegetables.

There are two courses to choose from for dinner: the chef's selection with a drink for toasting, or with 3 glasses. The price is 15,000 yen or 18,500 yen.

There is also a lunch service, but you cannot make a reservation. You have to wait in line and hope for the best. Lunch is really affordable although it's a Michelin resto, so be prepared to queue.
This is what the dinner looks like: "iwashi" (sardine)sashimi, miso soup, rice and some pickled vegetables.
The resto offers sardines presented in 4 different ways: deep fried, raw, simmered or the casserole.

I love travelling and discovering new cuisines. Japan has a panoply of local dishes to try. I also love yoga, coffee, reading, and cycling.
