Best Place To Try Tarako Pasta! - "talatala・taracco", Tokyo

Have you ever heard of "tarako pasta"? It is a very popular and common kind of pasta (spaghetti) in Japan. The sauce is made from cod roe (tarako) which actually goes very well with pasta noodles. "talatala・taracco" is specialized in this tarako pasta, offering over 30 variations to choose from!

"talatala・taracco" is run by a member of a famous Japanese band who is also known as a tarako pasta enthusiast. Tarako (cod roe) pasta is quite popular in Japan, but you can't find such a variety of tarako pasta like this shop anywhere else. Located 2 minutes walk from Daikanyama station.

They have over 30 kinds of tarako pasta. You can also add toppings and build your own pasta!

You can choose your sauce between 4 options, cream, butter, aglio e olio, and basil paste (of course all include tarako!). Then, you select your favorite ingredients. The popular menu is "Cream & Mushroom", which consists of creamy white sauce, mushrooms, and chopped green onions.

The noodles are thick and chewy, which go well with the rich sauce. The saltiness and fishy flavor of tarako play an important role on the pasta.

It is one of the shops in the food court called "Daikanyama Underground Food court". You can also take-out and eat outside if you want.
