Spajiro: Where the Western meets Eastern Choice of Comfort Food!

Japanese style pasta is something you should try in Japan. It is called the wafu pasta (和風パスタ). It is mostly served at the price similar to ramen or other lower mid-range res. Spajiro is specialized in making great Japanese style spaghetti for a reasonable price. Sounds great? I thought so too!

Spajiro | 釜揚げスパゲッティすぱじろう

Spajiro is a chain restaurant present mainly in Tokyo (Akasaka, Ginza, Nakameguro, Shimokitazawa, Roppongi, Azabu Juban) and also in Nagoya. Spajiro uses a meticulous cooking method to make flavorful spaghetti and the sauce base. The spacious interior has a handful of counter seats and a few table seats. Also, you can make it into a set menu with a salad and a drink, like you could normally get from a local Japanese-style restaurant.

Menu

Spajiro has wide a variety of spaghetti flavors, such as Japanese fusion, tomato base, olive oil base, pesto, and carbonara. The sizes are S size (100g), M size (120g), and L size (170g) for the same price. There are also side menus like salads and fried chicken, desserts, and drinks to complete the meal. The Ebisu main store set (a drink, mini salad) is available for 290 yen extra. Also, the Spajiro set (a drink, a mini salad, dessert of the day) for 520 yen extra, and a beer set for 190 yen extra respectively.

Spicy Cod Roe (Mentaiko) and Mayonnaise Spaghetti | 明太子とマヨネーズのすぱ 

The most popular item is the "mentaiko pasta", a Japanese fusion spicy cod roe and mayonnaise spaghetti, for the price of 930 yen. It is a combination of spicy cod roe and mayonnaise and has a mild taste.

Spajiro Ultimate Basil Base Spaghetti | すぱじろう究極の和風バジリコ

The Spajiro Ultimate basil olive oil base with bacon spaghetti for the price of 840 yen. The generous amount of bacon slices and basil is recommended for meat lovers.

Spaghetti of the Month

There are monthly specials for spaghetti at Spajiro. The September Fall special is the tomato-based spaghetti with a whole crab.If you love spaghetti, but would like to change things up a bit, you can try the "alle vongole".
