Shibuya Bars and Pubs: Scramble Cafe & Bar

Scramble Cafe & Bar is probably the closest bar in proximity to Shibuya station! Literally across from the station under the tracks is this tidy cafe & bar serving up food and drinks from morning til the wee hours of the morning. If you're looking for a place to quench your thirst within a hop, skip, and jump from Shibuya station - this is it!

You can see this place from the station, it's that close! Scramble cafe & bar sits under the Yamanote line train tracks about 20m metres from the Hachiko entrance of Shibuya station. It's a bit of a bare bones cafe and bar but given it's proximity to the station it is a great location to meet up for drinks with friends at any time during the day, night, or in wee hours of the morning.
It's pretty hard to miss this place with the bright blue and white stripes and large glass window looking onto the world's busiest crossing!

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner in downtown Shibuya!

Scramble has breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus to satisfy most travellers cravings for a good western style feast. Think coffee and eggs benedict in the morning/brunch.
Try the grilled chicken and fresh salad for lunch. Enjoy your meal and a coffee afterwards while you people-watch through the large glass windows!
Heading into evening and dinner time before the night gets too rowdy, fill up on a roast beef bowl! Pair it with an alcoholic drink of your choice and your night looks like an interesting one!

Let the party begin!

As the sun sets and the crowds start to pour into Shibuya, watch as the scramble crossing builds with each concession of red traffic lights! This is where the fun starts and your night will take a turn to experience real Shibuya!
Grab some drinks from the bar, dance to the tunes, make some new friends, and kick back and boogie!
Scramble is open from 9am til 2am weekdays, and until 5am on Friday and Saturday nights! If you can make it to 5am, kudos to you!

Do it all over again!

Then if you fancy it, go home, come back for 9am and do it all over again!

Getting there

Take the Yamanote line to Shibuya station and head towards the Hachiko exit. Cross the road, head right and you'll see the cafe bar under the bridge.
