What is Monjya?

Monjya is a Japanese style pan-fried batter, and is one of the most popular dishes in Tokyo. It is part of the Japanese food culture for customers to enjoy frying the monjya on their own, and trying different types when eating with a group. Although monjya consists of similar ingredients as okonomiyaki, there are liquid ingredients added to make the monjya more runny. Some popular, traditional monjya toppings are cod roe, cheese, vegetables, seafood, and more.
