What is Monjayaki?

Monjayaki is a Japanese style pan-fried batter and is one of the most popular dishes in Tokyo. It is part of the Japanese food culture for customers to enjoy frying the monja on their own, and trying different types when eating with a group. Although monjayaki consists of similar ingredients as okonomiyaki, there are liquid ingredients added to make the monjayaki runnier. Some popular, traditional monja toppings are cod roe, cheese, vegetables, seafood, and more.
