Square Enix Cafe In Akihabara, Tokyo

To the joy of Square Enix fans, Square Enix opened a themed cafe based on its popular game series, which is located in Akihabara, Tokyo, in 2016. The company had already opened another cafe in Shinjuku, near its HQ, called Artnia. But this time, the latest one is at the center of the center of the otaku universe that is Akihabara, near the JR station, where it belongs!

Cafe Concept

Square Enix Cafe wants to give its visitors a space where they can dive into the universe of its latest releases and popular titles. The interior decorations, therefore, change with what's hot in the Square Enix universe. They have a few fixed menu items but most of what you can order are foods and drinks inspired by the currently popular games. So what you can get changes depending on the latest trends. The cafe doubles as a goods store as well. There's a pretty big section of merchandise.

The limited-time offered items are the most interesting because they are the themed ones. Great attention was obviously put into making some awesome, detailed foods referencing our favourite Square Enix games!

You'll see the merchandise section from the outside. That should be enough to lure you in if you're a Square Enix fan.
You can get keychains, figurines, stuffed animals, smartphone covers, etc. The things you can get change quite fast so if there's a game you really like and it's popular right now, don't wait too long to get your memorabilia!
For the goods, prices vary from about ¥300 (e.g. badges, keychains) to ¥3,500 (clothing articles, bags).
