Matcha White Chocolate Scone Recipe!

Scones you can buy at famous coffee chains are sometimes the equivalent of your daily calorie intake. At least when you make them at home, you know exactly what goes in them, and there are no additives. Here's a healthier version of matcha white chocolate scones! They're delicious!

Matcha White Chocolate Scone Recipe!

<Ingredients>
-2 tbsp of matcha
-350g flour (about 3 cups)
-1/4 tsp salt
-1 tsp of baking powder
-85 g of cubed butter (about 1/3 cup)
-90 g of white chocolate chips (1/2 cup)
-175ml of milk
-1 egg

<Directions>
1. Preheat the oven to 350 F (180C) and chill the butter until you use it.
2. Mix the flour, baking powder, salt & matcha.
3. Add the butter, and rub it in between your fingers until it has a finer texture.
4. Heat the milk in the microwave for 30 seconds, it should be warm, not hot.
5. Make a well in the flour mix, add the milk and mix well. Once the mixture holds together well, add the white chocolate chips.
6. Put some flour on the table and roll the dough out. Fold the dough 2-3 times and put make it into a circle, about 4cm high.
7. Cut the scones as though you're cutting slices of cake.
8. Brush the top of the scones with a beaten egg.
9. Bake for 10 minutes until the scones have risen and have a nice golden color, yet not brown.

And that's it! They are delicious warm with some butter or clotted cream and some jam.
