When you think of "abura soba" you probably think of a really heavy dish. But, at Menya Teiou in Otsuka, Tokyo, the ramen dish is made with natural Chinese oil and doesn't have an overpowering taste so you'll devour it until the last slurp!

Only about 5 minutes from Otsuka Station, Menya Teiou specializes in "abura soba."
This small resto, which is loved by locals, has a lovely retro vibe which makes it very welcoming. The authentic cuisine is made by a Chinese chef.

There are only counter seats at this small resto so you can enjoy watching the chef doing what he does best! The vibe is fun and welcoming.

Dangerously Addictive Spicy Ramen!

The Spicy Abura Soba dish is ¥650.
The noodles are mixed with a rich sauce and are topped with "chashu" (roasted pork), an egg, bean sprouts, green onion and fried green onions.
The noodles are also made with 14 different types of "rayu" (Chinese chilli oil).
As soon as the shop owner brings you your dish, the enticing smell of the oils and sauce will make you salivate.

The dish is called "spicy abura soba" so you expect it to be really spicy, but in fact, it has just the right amount of spiciness. Even people who don't like spicy food will enjoy this dish!
If you want to make it spicier, you can just add more spices from the spices available on the table!
