YAMIYAMI Curry: An Addictive New Type Of Curry Restaurant

The restaurant is at a 5-minute walk from the Nakano Station. There are also some branches in Waseda, Iidabashi, Shimbomachi, and Nishi Ikebukuro.

There are 12 counter seats, and about 70 percent of the clientele is made up of male customers. It's the type of restaurant where you can walk in alone and get a satisfying delicious quick meal.
A Curry With An Original Taste That Is Based From Thai Curry

The curry has a base of coconut milk and has some lemongrass in it, so the taste is, to a certain extent, similar to a Thai curry. The owner, however, has added some traditional Japanese ingredients to give it another twist. The curry is truly unique in its taste and fragrance.

This is the Minced Meat And Tomato Curry With Cheese (合挽き肉と完熟トマトの焼きチーズカリー) at ¥900. The dish is broiled before your eyes. It releases a scent of cheese with a mix of spices that is just irresistible.

Inside you will find some nice pieces of ripe tomatoes as well as pork and beef minced meat. The sweetness of the tomatoes and the freshness of the lemongrass go very well together.

The curry is also made from lime leaves, Thai ginger, which bring some accents to the soup. The balance of the savory meat with the fresh herbal and citrusy ingredients is very well achieved. This is why this place is so popular.
