Cocktail bars, clubs, and live jazz bars! If you are looking for a variety of fun spots to visit to fully enjoy the nightlife of Kobe, here's a list of things to do to that has a bit of everything for everyone. These spots are not tourist traps; they are most of all popular with the locals!

Laguna The Bar

Let's start this list with some of the best bars in the city. People rave about Laguna because it has a relaxed atmosphere and some amazing cocktails and drinks.
They serve a wide variety of original cocktails, many of which are decorated with real flowers. Their mojito is particularly popular and they are all visually stunning. There is a cover charge of ¥1,000 to go in, but it is well worth it! This is definitely one of the topped ranked cocktail bars in Kobe.

Bar Le Salon

Bar Le Salon is the other fancy bar you should know about if sipping on a beautiful and original cocktail is your idea of enjoying the nightlife of Kobe. With your drinks, you can get small side dishes that look almost too well placed and exquisite to eat.
The cocktails are really surprising too. You can order this rich green drink for instance which is vodka base and has parsley mixed in it. You might think that the parsley will give the drink too sharp of a taste but this one is surprisingly refreshing and easy to drink. The place has sofa seats as well as counter seats.


If you are looking for a lively colorfully lit club with cheap drinks, then Larus Kobe might be a good place for you to go. They have a special for women from 21:00 - 22:00 for which you get a free entry and a ¥700 all-you-can-drink for the hour! For guys, the price is ¥1,000 and you get two drinks. Sone Jazz Bar

Sone is so worth going to if you are into Jazz music! The place is an establishment of longstanding (it has been opened since 1969) and has been a favorite with locals ever since. You can enjoy live Jazz performances that start according to a time system that is scheduled as follows: 1) 18:50 〜 2) 20:00 〜 3) 21:10 〜 4) 22:20 〜

The cover charges for the shows are usually from ¥1,500 to ¥2,000.
Enjoy drinks and refined appetizers while listening to some of the best live Jazz music in Kobe. The bar is at a 3-minute walk from the Sannomiya Station.


If you want to experience an Irish pub vibe in Kobe, this might be your best choice! You can get good, strong bitter Irish beers and the atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming. It's the kind of place where you can easily make friends with the locals. This bar is a popular gathering place for watching sports events.
It is located at a 4-minute walk from the Sannomiya Station. Opened every day until 5 AM.
