Ultra Japan: The Hugest Electronic Dance Music Festival In Japan
The 2018 edition of Ultra Japan, the world-renowned outdoors electronic dance music festival, will be held on the long weekend of the 15-17 of September (Saturday to Monday). The venue will be the same as the previous years, which is to say the Tokyo Odaiba ULTRA Park.
"Ultra Japan" is the Japanese edition of the Ultra series of electronic music festivals that are held in over 20 countries around the world and that attract a total number of over 1 million spectators. World class DJs are will, of course, be on stage this year as well. The 2017 edition featured The Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki, and Carl Cox among many others outstanding artists.
The dance party is held over a period of three days, starting every day from 11 AM and ending at 9 PM. Three-day tickets are ¥45,000 but you may get a better price if you buy advance tickets. Two-day tickets range are either ¥26,000 or ¥28,000 and one-day tickets are ¥15,000. For full information about the tickets including advance ticket purchase, please refer to the official site of the event.
This is a very sought-after event so you better get your tickets quickly! People say it's the cleanest festival of its kind and that security is kind of strict, so don't expect to be allowed to do body surfing there! Still, you should have a great time meeting up Japanese ravers (and many foreign visitors) and above all, because the stage productions are beyond amazing.
While you are in the Odaiba area, you might want to refer to these guides for ideas of things to do and some great restaurants to try!
