1. Muslim-Friendly Japanese Cuisine

Misono Kobe

The Main Store in Kobe offers a Halal Kobe beef course meal. Please note that this restaurant is not Halal, however.
The chef will cook the A4/A5 rank Kobe Beef right in front of you. They also have seafood such as abalone and lobsters that smell and taste great! The average price for lunch is ¥3,000 and dinner is ¥14,000, but if you want good Kobe beef, it will all be worth it. Halal Kobe beef can be rare so it is highly suggested to make a reservation beforehand!
The courses are between 27,000-38,000 yen. You can also order a la carte.

Tsuki Usagi

Tsuki Usagi is a small restaurant of 19 places located a 3-minute walk from the Sannomiya Station (West Exit). There are course menus to choose from that contain halal beef that ranges in price from ¥10,000 to about ¥20,000 yen per person. A ¥10,000 course, for instance, would include an organic salad, yuba (tofu skin dish appetizer), smoked cod roe, firefly squid and wasabi greens, a sashimi assortment, tempura and, of course, diced Kobe beef steak.
Please note that halal courses are only available upon reservations made at least two days in advance.

2. Halal-certified non-Japanese cuisine

Halal Restaurant Naan Inn

This excellent Indian Halal resto is located near the historical Kobe Mosque. Their lunch buffet is excellent and you can really fill up on delicious food at a very reasonable price. 1,600 yen for different types of curry, naan, salad, etc.

Ali's Halal Kitchen

Ali's Halal Kitchen is a Pakistani Halal restaurant. The owner is very friendly and welcoming and he makes the food as you order it. It is super fresh and delicious. You should definitely try the samosas and the chicken curry!
