The Bow Bar In Sapporo: A Gem For Whiskey Lovers

If you are a whiskey or liqueur connoisseur, you probably want to put Bar Bow in Sapporo on your bucket list. The bar is one of the quaintest there is and you can find some astoundingly rare grandpa bottles in the small bar.

Feel free to follow favy!

The Bow Bar In Sapporo

For whiskey aficionados, The Bow Bar is a must-go when you are in Sapporo. The atmosphere is extremely pleasant and old-fashion and the bar master who has a passion for what he does is quite possibly one of the most knowledgeable people in the country about old liquors.

Rare Bottles

The place is like a whiskey library. You'll be in awe at what is on display all over the walls of the bar. You can find rare bottles of Single Malt Scotch Whiskey, Blended Scotch Whiskey, Bourbons, Canadians whiskeys, Cognac, Calvados, vintage premium rum, Sherry and Wines. Some bottles date from the 1950s.
The bar has only about a 12 people seating capacity, so it's not too loud on a usual evening. Ask for a type of alcohol you are keen on and Mr Homma will introduce you some items in his impressive collection.
Prices really depend quite a lot on what you will order. For instance, a shot of DUPUY 1902 Cognac is ¥15,000 if you are interested in the pinnacle of what you can find in his library. An evening may typically cost you about ¥8,000 if you just have the not-so-rare drinks.
As for food, fine chocolate pairings are recommended.
