Hiroshima's city centre was built around the Hiroshima castle and used to be a powerful area many centuries ago. However, in 1945, the atomic bomb destroyed the castle.
After its reconstruction and renovation, the castle serves as a museum and also offers a beautiful view of the city from the top floor.
