Gotenba Kameya 御殿場カメヤ
Gotenba Kameya is in close proximity to Gotenba's Peace Park. This restaurant is mainly geared towards large tourist groups and is a good place to have a tasty and cheap Japanese meal. They have a lot of popular Japanese dishes, such as mackerel, tempura, udon, etc. You can get a nice and filling set for 1,000 yen to 1,800 yen.
There is a restaurant reserved for large groups, another restaurant floor, a souvenir shop and a place to buy local food.
You should get the Susono Set Menu, which is 1050 yen and includes soba or udon, grilled salmon, tempura, different types of boiled vegetables, etc. It is quite generous and filling.
There are different sets to order, such as the Mt. Fuji Set menu (1,700 yen) which is popular among locals.
There are also tempura bowls, and children menus.
While on your way to Hakone or Mount Fuji, make sure to stop by and grab some souvenirs and some lunch.
