The beautiful port city of Yokohama is a hot spot for good Italian pizzas. If you want some of the best pizzas in Japan, it's the place to be. Here is our 5 restaurant selection for some blissfully delicious pizzas in Yokohama!

Sisiliya シシリヤ

This is the place most Yokohama pizza connoisseurs head to when they want some of the best pizzas there is in town! They make handmade Napoli Pizza in the traditional Sicilian way. This means that the dough is handmade and prepared one day in advance. The fluffy dough is perhaps the best thing about their pizzas that come in many different variations. The simple Margherita is a popular one you can't go wrong with. Prices are about ¥1,000 to ¥2,000 per pizza.

Posillipo e Napule ポジリポ エ ナプレ

This place is pretty outstanding as well. It serves pizzas made from organic flour and other organic ingredients, a lot of which is directly delivered from Italy. The pizzas are baked in a firewood stove designed by famous Italian craftsman Stefano Ferrara. The pizzas here range in price from about ¥1,500 to ¥3,000. They have a lunch option from ¥1,620 in which a pizza comes with a salad too.

Trattoria&Pizzeria LOGIC Yokohama

This is a pretty interesting place because there are two distinct sections to the restaurant. One part of it is a relaxed dining area and the other is a casual bar area where there are some counters and a more clamourous ambiance. They have eight choices of pizzas on the menu ranging in price from just ¥980 for simple Marinara (tomato sauce with oregano and garlic) to ¥1,980 for a Quatro fromage (four cheese). There are also plenty of other Italian dishes on the menu including pasta, risotto and antipasto.

PIZZERIA Chiacchierone ピッツェリア キアッキェローネ

This place has a very cozy atmosphere made specifically for enjoying good conversations according to the owner. The pizzas are very nice too. The chef has lived and trained in the art of pizza making in Southern Italy for over a decade. What is interesting is that you can get great traditionally made Italian pizza with some Japanese twists. For instance, they serve a pizza with some "shirasu" (baby sardines) toppings. Prices for pizzas are about ¥1,000 to ¥2,000 and there are some lunch specials.

Pizzeria Speriamo ピッツェリア スペリアーモ!

This is one of the best little gems in Yokohama for pizzas. It's located near the Nishi-Yokohama Station and is a bit hard to find, but it's well worth the detour. Not only can you get some fresh homemade Italian style pizzas, but also some delicious homemade sausages, vegetable dishes and other Italian staple foods. The place also takes great care in selecting its wines so you can ask for a good pairing with whatever you order. There are some courses for about ¥3,000 to ¥4,000.
