Tokyo Fireworks Festival EDOMODE 2019 In Odaiba Information

Tokyo Fireworks Festival EDOMODE

The concept of EDOMODE is to fuse both the modern and the traditional aspects of Japan into the fireworks show. The "Edo" in the name refers to the era (from 1603 to 1868) during which fireworks became major forms of entertainment. The modern aspect will be in felt with the use of cutting-edge pyrotechnical technologies and music.

The show's pyrotechnicians are among the best in the world and have won several awards. Every year, the push the limit of their art with the help of new technologies.

The hanabi taikai will be in Odaiba with the iconic Rainbow bridge as the backdrop! 12,000 fireworks will be shot in the air. Expect lots of good festival foods too and lots of people wearing summer kimonos!

Tickets and Location

You can buy tickets at Lawson convenience stores until the end of May. The nearest station to the venue is the Odaiba Kaihinkoen. Fireworks start at 19:10 (90 minutes show) and you can enter the venue from 16:00.
