5 Reasons You Should Eat Organic in Tokyo

For such a big metropolitan city, Tokyo is surprisingly not so organic-friendly. In fact, organic supermarkets and restaurants are scarce so options are limited. But worry not, here is a list of the best organic restaurants around Tokyo. Vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike, you'll find what you're looking for!

Tamana Shokudo

Tamana Shokudo, in Minamiaoyama, is very hard to find, you have to be on the look out for a sign that says "Natural Food Studio". This intimate restaurant offers delicious organic and vegetarian restaurant. The dishes are healthy, well-balanced and filling!
The signature lunch is ¥1,890, and dinner is around ¥4,000-¥5,000.

ORGANIC TABLE BY LAPAZ

Close to Gaimmae station, this restaurant used to function as a furniture and art store, but now sells organic vegan food. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming and the staff is really friendly.
Junk-food vegetarians, rejoice! The avocado burger is delicious! Lunch sets are around ¥1,000.

WE ARE THE FARM

A few minutes walk from Ebisu station, this place is a true treasure in the city. It serves fresh and tasty vegetables in a variety of ways, and the atmosphere is cozy and stylish. The portions are huge, so don't worry about leaving hungry after only having vegetables. Main dishes are around ¥2,000-¥3,000.

Sangenjaya is a fun neighborhood with many trendy second-hand shops, cafes, and restaurants. It's a nice place to simply walk around. From earth Cafe Ohana is a few minutes from Sangenjaya station and serves in an original setting. You can have lunch for less than ¥1,000.

Navarre Tokyo

About a 10 minutes walk from Shibuya, Navarre is located in trendy Aoyama. This restaurant is a branch of the famous Portland restaurant. Similar to the original, they serve organic, fresh cuisine. The serve organic wine and organic meat. So this is a good place to invite vegetarian and non-vegetarian friends, and everyone will walk out happy. The restaurant is stylish and inviting.
Lunch goes for about ¥1,000.
