Sagafredo Zanetti Espresso is a popular Italian chain cafe in Japan. It specializes in espressos but you can get a variety of other drinks and some foods too.
The interior is pretty sleek and modern. It's the perfect place to enjoy a nice cup of coffee or a light meal in good company.


Obviously, their espressos are quite possibly the best of all the chain cafes in Japan. It's in their name after all. An 80cc espresso is ¥430 and other hot drinks have comparable prices. It's a bit on the expensive end for a chain cafe, but the quality is good, so it might be worth it if you are a coffee lover.

Cold Drinks

If you go to Sagafredo during a sweltering hot Japanese summer day, you might want to try one of their popular cold drinks instead. They have a couple of kinds of colds drinks that are either fruit or coffee based. Their Blood Orange Granita is quite popular on the juice side and the Espresso Granita is popular on the coffee side. They also serve some limited edition special drinks such as the penguin one above.

Paninis and Pasta

If you've worked up a little appetite, you might want to have some of their paninis or pasta dishes. The food menu is inspired by Italian cuisine. Paninis are about ¥500 and pasta plates are about ¥900.

Beer and Drinks

Many people go there for the alcohol menu. They serve beer and some house wine from Italy. Also, they have a surprisingly good cocktail list. Prices are between ¥440 to ¥600 per drinks.
