Shunsai is the only traditional Japanese of the Hotel. It's one of the best around the Shibuya Station for kaiseki cuisine. Kaiseki is a style where you get many small dishes as part of a set meal. They serve traditional breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. For kaiseki cuisine, you are likely to be served sushi and sashimi, grilled fish chawanmushi (savoury custard dish) and all kinds of small, delicate dishes that are made of seasonal vegetables.
The view from the 25th floor of the Excel Hotel is one of the best in Shibuya.
A bientot the other restaurant on the 25th floor that is absolutely worth it as well. It serves French cuisine that is recognized for both its outstanding taste and visual presentation. Considering the quality, the lunch specials that start at around ¥3,500 are reasonably priced. You will also enjoy for sure the ambience of the restaurant and the stunning view from the large windows that span from the floor to the ceiling.
The hotel is nearby a famous yakitori restaurant called Morimoto. It is a store that has been part of the landscape since 1948. The atmosphere is very traditional, and they serve some of the city's best skewers of chicken and eel (called unagi in Japanese), which is a rare delicacy to have yakitori style. The chicken is so fresh that it's even possible to have it served in sashimi. People spend on average ¥3,000 to ¥4,000.

If you want to enjoy a relaxing tea or coffee break, I would highly recommend you go to this authentic cafe! If you've never experienced the atmosphere of a Japanese kissaten, which are old fashion cafes that were popular during the Showa Era, this is a place that will leave you a strong impression. The beverages are all premium quality, the sweets are homemade, and the atmosphere is impossibly quaint and inviting.
