Viet Bar ベトバル
Viet Bar is a popular, cheap eaterie located at an approximately 8-minute walk from the Takadanobaba Station.
It's well-known among the locals for being one of the best affordable restaurants in the area. It serves authentic Vietnamese sets for lunch for around ¥1,000.
This is a popular choice at this restaurant. It is a fried white fish with tomatoes bún (noodle soup). ¥830
This is a Bánh xèo which consists of fried sprouts, mushrooms, carrots, shrimps and other ingredients wrapped in a kind of Vietnamese style crepe, and flavoured with a sweet and spicy sauce. You rarely see this kind of option in other Vietnamese restaurants in Japan.
Of course, you can order some authentic spring rolls.
The pho packed with fresh vegetables is also quite popular. You can have it with duck meat.
The Vietnamese yoghurt desserts are also really popular. They are packed with fruits and tapioca. You rarely see these elsewhere. Going to Viet Bar is like visiting Vietnam for a short while. Definitely worth the visit.
You can even enjoy some Vietnamese beer. This is the perfect place to go on a warm Tokyo evening.
