Chains in Tokyo Which Offer Breakfast Under ¥,1,000

Here are the best places to grab breakfast in Tokyo for less than ¥1,000. Some places are even breakfast buffets so you're sure to fill up before a day of discovering Tokyo!

Feel free to follow favy!

Coco's Restaurant

At just 680 yen +tax, Coco's family restaurant probably one of the best-value all-you-can-eat breakfasts in Tokyo. They have locations all across Japan so you're sure to run into one. The lunch buffet includes eggs, pastries, salad, juice & coffee, etc.

Denny's is originally an American chain, but it is highly popular in Japan, with 29 branches in Tokyo alone. The menu is totally different from the one in the U.S as they also have Japanese dishes. For breakfast, you can try their caramel pancakes, the big size is only 449 yen! The breakfast show below is 599 yen and it comes with toast, pancakes or rice, as well as access to the drink bar. For a Japanese breakfast, you can have grilled salmon, rice, miso soup and tofu for 549 yen!

Gusto is a family restaurant chain where you can enjoy reasonably-priced dishes. They have over 1300 locations all across the country. Some of them open 24 hours.

Their breakfast (they offer both Japanese and western style breakfast) is also reasonably-priced and tasty. You can get free drinks refills too. Breakfast is from 299-799 yen.
For the Japanese breakfast, you can get grilled fish or bacon and eggs with rice, miso soup, pickled vegetables, etc. For the Western breakfast, you can get toast and a boiled egg, or pizza among many other things.

Komeda's Coffee

Komeda's coffee is a chain cafe originated in Nagoya. Established in 1968 and they have gradually spread all over the country, having around 700 shops today. One of the best things about Komeda is its atmosphere. You can have a nice breakfast at this relaxing place to start your day. They serve free toast and boiled egg when you order a drink. The thick and fluffy piece of bread is nicely toasted, which goes well with butter and boiled egg. Coffee is 400 yen and up.

Yoshinoya first started all the way back in 1899 and opened up a shop in a fish market in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. Since then Yoshinoya has stuck to its strengths and embraced its motto of serving "tasty, cheap and fast" dishes to its customers. If you want to eat like a true Tokyoite, you can have a bowl of "gyudon" for breakfast (for 480 yen). Or one of their breakfast sets, starting at 350 yen.
Lili Wanderlust
I love travelling and discovering new cuisines. Japan has a panoply of local dishes to try. I also love yoga, coffee, reading, and cycling.
