Top Teppanyaki Restaurants in Okinawa


Teppanyaki is a delicious Japanese cooking style that you need to try at least once in Japan. Fresh ingredients are cooked on an iron grill. It's wonderfully simple, yet incredibly delightful!

Nuji (ぬーじ)

Nuji is a stunning restaurant in the Oriental Hills Okinawa Hotel, which is approximately 1 hour away from the airport. Here, they serve sushi, French cuisine as well as teppanyaki. All the while overlooking the ocean. Things could hardly get any better than this for a date or a special event. Lunch is about 2,000 yen, and dinner is 10,000-15,000 yen.

Heki (碧 国際通り松尾店)

Heki is a steak teppanyaki restaurant which serves Australian or Japanese beef as well as Okinawa ingredients cooked on the teppanyaki. Courses are between 4,000-14,500 yen and include salad, fried vegetables, tofu, as well as seasonal dishes, etc. This beautiful and elegant restaurant seems to be more geared towards women but is a great date spot.

Kise (喜瀬)

Located in the Ritz Carlton, this beautiful and modern restaurant serves the highest quality ingredients grilled on the teppanyaki. There are 18 seats available, so you can see your meal be prepared right before your eyes by the chef. The courses are 21,000-25,000 yen.

Teppanyaki Sawafuji (鉄板焼さわふじ)

Teppanyaki Sawafuji serves a nice teppanyaki course in a nice environment. The course includes appetizers, grilled vegetables, Japanese beef, dessert, etc. The courses are between 4,000-12,000 yen.

Maralunga (マラルンガ)
