Convivio Tokyo, one of the best Italian restaurants in Tokyo with up and coming chef Daisuke Tsuji. The restaurant might not look like much from the outside, but the chef lets his imagination run wild and creates wonderful and different dishes each month!
The restaurant is located in Sendagaya in Shibuya. The decor of the resto won't blow you away, it's rather simple, but that is because they let the dishes take the main role. The menu changes monthly and you leave it up to the chef as there isn't an a-la-carte menu.
Chef Tsuji sometimes comes to the table to serve the dishes personally and discuss with the patrons. The dishes are superb and delicious, you'll be impressed by the creative presentation.
There are only two courses to choose from for dinner: the Convivio course (￥10,000-) and the Chef's Specialty Dinner course (￥15,000-). Ordering a la carte isn't a possibility, you can only wait in anticipation what the chef will prepare this month.
The chef went to Italy for 5 years and now serves incredible Italian cuisine with a distinct Japanese influence.
For lunch, there are only two courses as well: the Monthly Lunch Course (￥4,000-) and the Convivio Course (￥10,000-). On the weekend and on Holidays, the Lunch Course is ￥5,000-.
Using the chef's savoir-faire the chef prepares a monthly menu that you can come enjoy. If you have food allergies, please let the staff know when you are making a reservation. Also, if you are visiting more than once in a month, you can ask for slight menu changes.
