Area Guide Of Ochanomizu, Tokyo

Here are 5 things to do (guitar street, foods, and some sightseeing spots) in the vicinity of the Ochanomizu Station.

Feel free to follow favy!

Shop For Used Musical Instruments

Ochanomizu is the most famous place in Tokyo to shop for used instruments, especially guitars. It used to be a hub for importing instruments in the 1980s, and that culture is still present today. You can find some brand names at reasonable prices, and some super rare ones too. If you are a connoisseur, you will love exploring Ochanomizu.

The shops are mostly located along Meidai Dori, the main street when you exit the Ochanomizu Station. Meidai Dori is also known as "Guitar Street".

Holy Resurrection Cathedral 東京復活大聖堂 (ニコライ堂)

Ochanomizu is the home of an impressive cathedral of the Japanese Orthodox Church. It was originally built in 1891, large parts of it were destroyed during the Great Kanto earthquake, and it was then rebuilt to largely resemble its original state afterwards.
