Ginza

Sushi Ya is a Ginza sushi counter run by chef Mamoru Hashimoto, who is a master of bringing out the natural flavors of the fish as he creates incredible sushi. If you're seeking high-end sushi in Ginza, this place is highly recommended, as it is likely to one day find its way into the Michelin Guide.

Sushi Ya was opened in 2012 and is run by a lone chef, Mamoru Hashimoto, who is one of the up and coming sushi masters in Tokyo. The quality of the sushi here is outstanding and has been receiving rave reviews, but is yet to be picked up by the Michelin Guide. Go now before its fame spreads around the world!

Prices

Being an incredibly popular restaurant run by a hot-shot chef, the prices are pretty much what you'd expect of such a high-end restaurant. Dinner is between ¥20,000 & ¥30,000, and lunch is between ¥10,000 & ¥15,000. The incredibly delicious sushi that you get for that price, however, is definitely worth it!

Access / Reservations

Sushi Ya is located just a few minutes away from Ginza Station and is hidden on the second floor of a building. The counter only has limited seating, so as you might imagine, getting a reservation requires planning a couple months in advance. See the link below to get a reservation if you live outside of Japan.
