Unique Themed Cafes You Must Try in Akihabara including Maid Cafe!

Akihabara is a famous place for electronics, anime, and especially maid cafe. These days, there are more and more unique themed cafes in Akihabara. This article will introduce some of those unique cafes in Akihabara.

Akihabara is a big vibrant district that can be a bit overwhelming to visit on your own. The best spots aren't always the most obvious so if you want to discover some cool stores selling classic games, visit an iconic maid cafe, and learn lots of things about the anime culture of Japan by having a local show you around, the Akihabara tour by Magical Trip is totally worth it.

1. Hedgehog Cafe CHEESE (ふれあいハリネズミ チーズ)

The first cafe is a hedgehog cafe. At this cafe, you can touch and pet a hedgehog. This is a great place to go if you want to get relaxed or to see what it feels like to touch a hedgehog.
This cafe has not only hedgehogs, but also rabbits and owls. This cafe gives you a great chance to touch an animal that is not usually become pets. If you are interested in any of these three animals, you should definitely go here. It costs ¥1500 per 30 minutes.

2. Ninja Cafe Shinobazu (忍者喫茶不忍カフェ)

This cafe is full of ninjas. All the waitresses are dress as a kunoichi (female ninja) and entertain you with their performances. You can enjoy ninja themed food and drinks.
They also will let you dress up like a ninja and take pictures. If you are interested in ninja, this place will be a good place to go.

3. Maid Cafe Maidreamin' (メイドカフェ めいどりーみん)

This is a famous maid cafe in Akihabara. There are many maids who welcome you as walk into the restaurant and serves you food and drinks. The maids dress up like girls above in the picture.

When you order food they will draw a picture and cast a "spell" on food to make it delicious. This is a great place to enjoy one of the famous modern Japanese cultures.

4. Gundam Cafe Akihabara (ガンダムカフェ 秋葉原店)

Gundam is a famous Japanese anime. It is about robots fighting each other in the space for their countries. It is quite famous around the world. If you like Gundam, you should definitely go. If you don't know Gundam, it is a great chance to learn about it.
Including the picture above, many of the dishes and glasses are allowed to take home, so you get to keep Gundam goods you want! This will definitely be fun for Gundam fans.
