Sunday Brunch

Sunday Brunch specializes in brunch and cakes, as a matter of fact, they have beautiful seasonal cakes. During the summer, they have a beautiful berry tart, and you can have it as a set with a drink for around ¥1000 + tax. For breakfast or brunch, there are some very hearty french toasts and stacks of pancakes! For something savoury, you can get a salad plate. If you're looking to compromise, you can get a salad with French toast!

anthrop is a tiny, but very cool espresso bar in Shimokitazawa. They only have a few seats inside, but you can still relax and chill while drinking their tasty coffee. There are also books inside if you want to unwind by yourself. For a quick breakfast, you can stop by for a nice slice of toast with a delicious coffee for less than 1,000 yen.

Sandwich Club

Although they are called Sandwich Club, they do have some pretty mean breakfast dishes as well. If you want something savoury, you can, of course, get a sandwich. Their sandwiches are quite hearty and jam-packed with ingredients. Omelette & Ham is delicious in the morning, or how about a BLT.

Cafe Sejour

Cafe Sejour is a modern "kissaten" (old-school Japanese cafe) where you can have a cheap and filling morning set until 11 AM. The most basic set is 450 yen and is toast, jam and coffee. For a more hearty breakfast, you can get toast, scrambled eggs, bacon and salad with coffee for 620 yen. Given that coffee at most places is 450 yen and up, that's quite the deal.

Blue Dog

Blue Dog is a chill and intimate cafe, you can come have breakfast, coffee, and or a small snack. In the summer, they have shaved ice, a super popular Japanese dessert. It's basically just ice with flavouring and toppings and is super light which is perfect for when you don't have much of an appetite. You should try their avocado toast if you're hungry for something tasty and savoury. With a coffee, it's only 900 yen.
