What is Jelly fruit balls?
Jelly fruit balls' actual name is Kow Loon Qiu (九龍球). It is a Hong Kong sweets, but it became popular among Japanese people for its cute look. No restaurant served jelly fruit balls around Tokyo, but now there are some restaurants and cafes that serve jelly fruit balls in and around Tokyo.
1. HONG KONG SWEETS Kaka LUMINE Tachikawa
This restaurant serves a variety of Hong Kong sweets including jelly fruit balls. It also serves Chinese food such as dim sum. Its jelly fruit balls come with seasonal fruits inside.
2. HONG KONG SWEETS Kaka Jiyugaoka Fruit Forest
This is the same restaurant as the first one but in a different location. The two restaurants are basically the same, but the biggest difference is the way they serve jelly fruit balls. In Jiyugaoka, the restaurant serves it as a buffet style in a big plate. It still tastes delicious like the one in the other restaurant, but you get mooore!
3. Tenkourou
This restaurant is in Yokohama's Chinatown, in Kanagawa. It is right next to Tokyo, so it is not too hard to get to. This is a restaurant that serves a variety of Chinese food, but many people come here to just eat jelly fruit balls.
4. Kinkourou
This restaurant is also in the China town in Yokohama. Its jelly fruit balls are one of the most popular menu items of this restaurant.
