Shizuoka City
Is this what dreams are made of??? Gold covered matcha gelato. This luxurious treat looks stunning, and tastes heavenly. A tea shop in Shizuoka has developed this treat (along with 6 other flavors).
Feel free to follow favy!
Oyaizu tea shop serves exquisite ice cream too.

At Oyaizu (おやいづ本店), tea is at the heart of their concept, and they developped 7 flavors of gelato. One of which is the matcha gelato covered in gold.
The other flavors are creamy green tea latte, green tea, fragrancy jasmine tea, Darjeeling tea, Houjicha (roasted green tea) and rum raisin.

This gold covered matcha ice cream is ¥900 (taxes included).

Since Oyaizu is first and foremost a tea shop, they have great knowledge and experience about tea.
They use only the finest ingredients to make their ice cream. They use tencha (powdered green tea) that they make themselves, and add high quality milk.
This gives a delicious ice cream with a strong matcha taste and a refreshing after-taste, but it is in no way bitter.
It is covered in a gold leaf and is highly photogenic so you will definitely want to share it on social media!!
