5 Restaurants To Eat Sublime Sushi Under ¥4,000 In Okinawa

If you are looking for cheap sushi in Okinawa, look no further. This is a selection of 5 sushi restaurants in Okinawa that are arguably the best for under ¥4,000.

Feel free to follow favy!

Ryukyuzushi 琉球鮨 (Naha)

This is a small sushi bar with just 8 counter seats but you'll be glad you went because the sushi is so fresh and cheap. It's arguably the best in Naha for the price. Another reason to go there is that it is located in Kokusai Dori Yataimura, which is a collection of small shops and stages that represent Okinawa's cuisine and culture. It is located near the Makishi Station.

Kisaku 喜作 (Naha)

Another great place in Naha is Kisaku. You can order sushi and also a variety of different dishes of kappo and Okinawan cuisine. What you must try here is the Oto sushi, which is a kind of sushi where the neta (sushi topping) is marinated in a soy and mirin-based sauce.

Takeyan Sushi たけやん寿司 (Naha)

This is a secret Naha sushi shop that is only opened from 1 AM to 5:30 AM. So it has a really strange atmosphere. Delicious sets are between ¥1,000 and ¥1,500. Sushi is exceptionally good for the price, and they also serve an outstanding grilled unagi (eel) dish. In terms of drinks, the specialty here is sake.

Hitoshi Ishiganto ひとし石敢當店 (Ishigaki City)

If you want to eat delicious fish in Ishigaki, this is the place to go. They serve gorgeous sashimi plates and sushi that include many items that Okinawa is famous for (umi budo, fatty tuna for example). People report that even if they order plenty, it doesn't cost over ¥4,000 per person. There is an all-you-can-drink option that you can add to your meal. The only downside to this restaurant is that it is so popular that you might have trouble making a reservation!

Hitoshi Original Location ひとし 本店 (Ishigaki City)

This is the original location of Hitoshi Ishiganto introduced above so you get the same outstanding freshness and quality. This is essentially a seafood izakaya which specializes in tuna, so make sure to have that kind of neta (sushi topping) when you go. And again, it is highly recommended that you make a reservation here otherwise it might be difficult to get a seat.
