The joint is located at a 6-minute walk from the Shinbanba Station.
There are some counter seats as well as tables.
Ramen With An Impact
We saw the chef making the dish, and to our surprise, it starts with a huge mountain of moyashi (bean sprouts).
Then, he started cutting a block of chashu pork, enough to use as a topping for 10 standard bowls or so.
Meat Ramen On Steroids!!!
But it goes all in one bowl!!!
If you ever felt that you ramen was lacking some pork belly meat, this was made for you. It literally was made first as a practical joke for customers who wanted to eat lots of chashu. You can now have this one for ¥1,300.
400 Grams Of Super Tender Chashu
The meat was cooked a long time in the broth so it is incredibly tender. Just lifting it with chopsticks makes it break apart. The rich broth soaked in deep inside the 400 g of meat.
Soup Made By Trial And Error
The mellow soup is made from land animal stock (as opposed to seafood). You can really taste the umami from the pork. It was achieved through a process of trial and error.
These are homemade thick noodles which makes this bowl of ramen even more memorable!
This ramen bowl is seriously a challenge to finish. Most people that order it - and mind you they are mostly of the extreme ramen fan group - have a hard time eating the second half of the bowl. If you want to try this monster, make sure you go to Nikujiru Ramen Kimi with an extreme appetite!
