The Curry Trinity: Fruit Sweetness, Spiciness From The Mix Of Spices, And Umami From The Cheese
Beef Curry [¥1,480]
This is Bondy's highly popular Beef Curry. As soon as it is served, you really can smell the mix of sweetness and spices that were used.
You pour the curry on the rice which makes the cheese melt from underneath. Made from a mixture of several kinds of fruits and Bondy's original mix of spices, the recipe is based on French-style curry.
The tingly spiciness and the mild sweet fruity taste work together so well. On top of that, the melted cheese releases like a blooming flower an addictive umami. The perfect balance of taste is what made this curry a prize-winner.
There are thick pieces of chewy beef in the curry too which makes it quite hearty and satisfying if you're hungry.
Lastly...
If you're a fan of Western-style Japanese curry, this is absolutely a place you should visit! Jimbocho is a charming part of Tokyo too, which is another reason to go there.
