The Tokyo Motor Show is held from late October through early November of odd years at the Tokyo Big Sight (International Exhibition Center) in Koto-ku, Tokyo. The next edition will be in 2019.

Every edition has a theme. In 2017, it was "beyond the motor", and it featured a significant number of concept cars that were electric. Another aspect to note is that many of the new models featured various levels of driving automation, a sure sign the whole of the motor (or motorless?) industry is moving in that direction.
