Super Tender Pork Curry In Ebisu At Tamakinchi

You can have a hearty pork curry in Ebisu until 6 AM for just ¥900 at Tamakichi. Located at just a 3-minute walk from the Ebisu Station, it's well-worth the go!

Feel free to follow favy!

Simmered for six hours!

Served in a large bowl, this dish definitely has an impact! On top of the rice, there is a huge piece of pork that has been simmered 6 hours resulting in a meat that is extremely tender. Around that is some addictively delicious Japanese-style curry. The dish presented here is ¥900.

Cut through with your spoon like a grilled marshmallow

With the dish, you only get a spoon, so you won't have any choice but to cut through the meat with it. Luckily, the pork is so tender that it's like cutting through a piece of overcooked marshmallow. Knives are completely unnecessary.

The texture of the meat and rice combined is super nice and the umami that it contains is thoroughly satisfying.

Slightly spicy roux

The curry tastes like something that is homemade. The roux doesn't feel spicy at first, but as you eat it, there is a certain amount of hot spiciness that kicks in.
There's a little bit of fried onions as a topping that adds a nice accent to the dish as well as adding some crispiness too.

Open until 6 AM!

You can have that hearty pork curry until 6 AM because the place doubles as an izakaya from the evening.

The atmosphere is pretty laid back. Many people go there alone or in small groups.
Aside from the curry, which they have a few kinds of, you can get a one plate lunch for ¥800.

How about having this curry late night in Ebisu at Tamakinchi instead of the standard ramen? It's huge and really cheap for the price of ¥900.
