Try Pancakes Stuffed With Eggs At Tsurubamisha In Tokyo

The restaurant specializing in pancakes is near the Kyodo Station of the Odakyu Line. They only serve eight dishes a day of their special egg pancakes!

Feel free to follow favy!

An egg sandwich made with pancakes

These are called "Hot Cake Sandwiches" and only eight a day are served at Tsurubamisha. They are cut in half so you can see the generous amount of egg sandwich filling in them. They kind of look like UFOs, or some kind of savoury dorayaki (a traditional Japanese sweet usually filled with sweet red bean paste).
I love how these pancakes are so plump and soft. They must use about for eggs to fill them up. The pancakes are sweet and work surprisingly well with the taste of the egg filling. The smooth texture is perhaps the best part of this dish!

¥1,000 set on weekdays

If you go there on a weekday, the egg pancake set comes with a coffee or tea and a small plate of fruit for ¥1,000.

Cute fruit plate

The fruit serving comes with 8 kinds of fruits: strawberry, pineapple, cherry, banana, fig, mango, melon, mango, and kiwi. All of the ingredients used are really fresh and the yogurt sauce poured on it adds a nice touch.

Many other kinds of pancakes too

If egg pancakes aren't your thing, rest assured because there are many other kinds of pancakes too, and you can customize your order with all kinds of toppings including, fruits and cream, homemade jam, and ice cream among others.

These egg pancakes were surprisingly good and visually impressive too! Remember that they only serve eight a day so get yours quickly. If you can't, well the rest of the menu at Tsurubamisha looks really good too so you shouldn't be disappointed either way.
Japanese food culture enthusiast. Love to explore new areas and discover local specialties.
