Fukuroshosabo in Ikebukuro, Tokyo: A Cafe in an Elegant Library
Do you know about Doutor, the famous coffee chain's new incredible project? The new type of cafe displays around 3,000 books so it's no exaggeration to call it a library! We were curious about this new genre of cafe so we went to check it out for ourselves.
Doutor's new cafe is almost like a library!
Japan's famous coffee chain, Doutor, has now started a new type of cafe!
The cafe is one floor large and its atmosphere is completely different from a traditional Doutor cafe.
You'll find any kind of book!
There are just so many books!
All the books are covered with book covers so you won't know which book you're choosing, apart from a short introduction.
How about spending some time in a quiet space with a nice book?
The atmosphere is perfect for relaxing, and it's not really the space to have a conversation, in fact, they asked them to be kept at a minimum.
You can borrow one of their books and bring it back to your seat
If you don't know which book to choose from, you can also choose the book that was placed under the table and discover something interesting.
The coffee is slowly prepared one by one in a siphon
Each order is prepared carefully one by one in a siphon.
Since it takes some time, I suggest you go looking for a book in the meantime.
By the time you'll start reading your book, they'll probably be coming over with your coffee.
There's a lot of delicious food to choose from too!
For a light meal, you can have cake or a sandwich, or if you have quite an appetite, you can have pasta too. At night, you can also have some alcohol to accompany whatever you're having.
The outside is crispy and the inside is deliciously fluffy. It's a nice and light cake.
The melted butter on top gives it a richer taste! What is nice is that you can adapt the sweetness and the taste according to your taste.
You should definitely try this cake if you want something light to go with you coffee!
If you want to enjoy some good coffee while having a nice and relaxing time, be sure to check this cafe out for yourself!
