ON THE WAY

This pretty cafe is located just a 4 minute walk from Shimokitazawa station, as their sign suggests, they offer coffee and cupcakes! On your way to somewhere, why don't you stop by and grab a cup of coffee?

Drip Coffee is available from ¥470 for M size and ¥520 for L size. Cupcakes are from ¥250 to ¥470.

Kate Coffee

This cafe is a book cafe that is open from morning to midnight! Very bright and neat, it is a hidden cafe located on the 2nd floor of the building. With its relaxing atmosphere, it makes you want to stay here forever. Just a few minutes walk from Shimokitazawa station, you can enjoy their food for less than 1,000 yen.

TiSSUE

Just a minute walk from West exit in Shimokitazawa station, this place is very popular among celebrities in Japan, and they serve amazing cakes! Try their matcha-chocolate cake and pumpkin cake! They also have lunch menus, so it is a perfect for a place to have lunch too. The average price is less than 1,000 yen.

bio ojiyan cafe (ビオ・オジヤン・カフェ)

What is so special about this place is that they serve Ojiya (a porridge of rice and veggies)! Ojiya is considered as a very healthy meal in Japan. If you are looking for a healthy but satisfying food experience in Shimokitazawa, you should stop by. They also have branches in Shibuya and Sagami Ohno.
Around a 3 minute walk from the west exit of Shimokitazawa station, you can enjoy their ojiya for 1,000 yen to 1,999 yen.

Neighborhood and Coffee (ネイバーフッドアンドコーヒー 代沢5丁目店)

Are you a music lover? Are you looking for a cafe that has records and good music? Try this place, City Country City, located just a 2-minute distance by walk from Shimokitazawa station, south exit. Its relaxing and cozy atmosphere with good music just sounds perfect, isn't it?
People usually spend ~999 yen for lunch and 1,000 yen to 1,999 yen for dinner.

Tabi Cafe GIFT (旅カフェ GIFT)

This cafe offers beer from all continents! Not just that, they have an amazing system where they donate 5% of your total bill to the world which practically means the amount you eat and drink contributes to the world. In the past, they built a school in Cambodia. How cool is that? They also have a branch in Kichijoji, so you should check that out too.
People spend an average of ~999 yen for lunch and 2,000 yen to 2,999 yen for dinner.

Blikje Button (ブリキボタン)

Just a 2-minute walk from the south exit of Shimokitazawa station, you will find an old-western style building's atelier-themed cafe called Blikje Button. Their seats are all sofa, which makes this cafe super comfortable, and there are many antique buttons on the wall. They also have small private rooms for 4 to 5 people that looks like a small theatre. Perfect for a lunch or dinner with your friend and your partner! Price is around ~999 yen for lunch and 1,000 to 1,999 yen for dinner.

Shiro Hige's Cream Puff Factory(白髭のシュークリーム工房)

Some of you might have seen this cute little cream puff on SNS before...and in case you were wondering where to get them, this is the place! Their puffs are inspired by one of the famous animes in Japan, "Neighbor Totoro". You can purchase a little Totoro for just 440 yen. There is a cafe space on the 2nd floor so you can eat inside, or you can also take out! Less than a 10 minute walk from Shimokitazawa station.

JELLY JELLY CAFE  (JELLY JELLY CAFE 下北沢店)

Just a minute walk from Shimokitazawa station, you will find the most exciting cafe in Shimokitazawa! This place has over 200 board games...unbelievable!
Drinks are not allowed, but it is recommended to bring food with you because they don't serve food there. Unlimited wifi and power source available, which makes you want to never leave that place.

Price varies;
Weekdays: daytime (1:00 pm to 6:00 pm), nighttime (6:00 pm to 11:00 pm) is for 1,500 yen with a free drink.
Weekend and public holiday: morning time (10:00 am to 1:00 pm) for 1,500 yen with unlimited non alcoholic beverages, daytime (1:00 pm to 6:00 pm) for 2,000 yen, and nighttime (6:00 pm to 11:00 pm) for 1,500 yen with a free drink.

If you are a student- that's great! If you go during weekdays during daytime (1:00 pm to 6:00 pm), and if you show your student ID it's only for 1,000 yen with a free drink! For elementary school students 1,000 yen for a free drink whenever. Free for preschool children.
